Napton-on-the-Hill, St Lawrence
The Napton-on-the-Hill Parish Church of St Lawrence is in a fairly isolated position at the top of the hill. The church is set in an large churchyard with great views to the south. There is parking at the east entrance to the churchyard but I chose to park in the village and walk up the footpath starting on School Hill.
Ringing takes place on the ground floor and the room is reached by a door in the south face of the tower. The ringing room has plenty of space to ring the six bells.

I visited for the first time on Thursday 16th February 2012 as the second tower
[1st,

of the 268th Mid-week Outing
of the
Four Shires Guild.
I rang up bell #3 and followed this with a touch of Bob Minor on bell #4.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 6 bells with a tenor weighing ~11½ in F. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Lawrence.
