Staverton, St Mary the Virgin
The Staverton Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin is situated at the end of Church Street in the east of this small village. There is limited parking on Church Street but if you are there in the day beware of the "bin lorry"!
The ringing room is reached by climbing a spiral staircase that starts inside the tower. There is not much space for anyone not ringing the six bells. These were very nice bells to ring.

I visited for the first time on Thursday 16th February 2012 as the first tower
[2nd,
3rd,
4th]
of the 268th Mid-week Outing
of the
Four Shires Guild.
I started by ringing up bell #4 and a little later rang a touch of Bob Minor on the same bell.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 6 bells with a tenor weighing 10-3-26 in G. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Mary the Virgin.
The Peterborough Diocesan Guild of Church Bellringers also have information on the Staverton Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin.
