Melksham, St Michael & All Angels
The Parish Church of St Michael & All Angels, Melksham can be found near the centre of this sizable town. It is situated, appropriately enough, where Church Walk joins Church Street, just a short walk west of the High Street. There is a good sized car park on the north side of Church Street.
The ringing room is reached through a door in the outside of the tower and by climbing a spiral staircase consisting of 18 steps. There is plenty of seating for those not ringing.

I visited for the first time on Saturday 2nd July 2011 as the third tower [ 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th ] of the Four Shires Guild annual outing.
I started with a touch of Grandsire Triples on bell #3 which went a bit pear shaped. Later I rang another touch of Grandsire Triples, this time on bell #4, which went just fine. Nice bells to ring.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 8 bells with a tenor weighing 18-0-7 in E. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Michael & All Angels and some additional information is provided by Salisbury Diocesan Guild of Ringers.
