Chippenham, St Paul
The Parish Church of St Paul, Chippenham is located north of the River Avon at the junction of Greenway Lane and Malmesbury Road (B4158). Parking options did not look good, I chose to walk to St Pauls after ringing at St Andrews.
The ringing room is reached through a door inside the tower and by climbing a concrete spiral staircase. The ringing room is light and airy with tall windows on all four faces of the tower. There is some seating for those not ringing.

I visited for the first time on Saturday 2nd July 2011 as the sixth, and last, tower [ 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, ] of the Four Shires Guild annual outing.
I started with a touch of Grandsire Triples on bell #3 which did not go very well, the ropes on the first 3 bells were springy and a bit "flighty" which affected the striking. Later I rang Grandsire Triples on bell #2 which was a similar experience to the earlier one.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 8 bells with a tenor weighing 18-1-5 in E♭. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Paul and some additional information is provided by The Gloucester & Bristol Diocesan Association of Church Bell Ringers.
