Yarkhill, St John the Baptist

The Church of St John is located on Watery Lane in what miht be the heart of this dispersed village. As the address suggests, it is close to the River Frome.There isn't a car park but there is some roadside space near the church.

I was not aware before visiting that Yarkhill was the birthplace of Fabian Stedman and that he was baptised in this church in 1640. If I visit again I will endeavour to ring some Stedman Doubles!

The Bells
