Dymock, St Mary the Virgin
The parish Church of St Mary the Virgin, Dymock, is located in the east of the village at the junction of the B4215 and B4216. There is a small car park on the east side of the church (off B4216). Dymock and the surrounding area is renowned for it's wild daffodils and the church has a display about the Dymock poets. The church also has information about local walks, including the Daffodil Way.
Unusually, getting to the ringing room involves climbing a 19 step carpeted staircase.

I visited for the first time on Monday 14th July 2014 as the third tower of the Butlers Tour
[1st,
2nd,
4th].
I started by ringing bell #4 for a touch of Plain Bob Minor and followed this with a touch of Plain Bob Doubles on bell #5. Next I rang the tenor for plain hunt and ended by ringing down #2.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 6 bells with a tenor weighing 17½ in E. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Mary the Virgin and more information is provided by the Gloucester & Bristol Diocesan Association of Church Bell Ringers.
