Belbroughton, Holy Trinity

The Belbroughton Church, Holy Trinity [1, 2] is situated in the South of the village at the junction of Church Hill and Church Road. I managed to park on the side on Church Hill.

I visited for the first time on Monday 5th May 2009 for a session arranged in advance of the WDCRA AGM. A not untypical Bank Holiday with miserable weather. There is a ground floor ring and there is not a lot of space. It is a long pull with rope guides and a little "spongy". I rang a couple of Plain Courses of Plain Bob Minor and then rang the Tenor for a touch of Grandsire Doubles.

The Bells

The tower has a ring of 6 bells with a tenor weighing 9-3-24 in G. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at Holy Trinity and more information is provided by the Worcestershire & Districts Change Ringing Association.

No information on the bells history or inscriptions was to be found in the tower.
