Whichford, St Michael

The parish Church of St Michael, Whichford is in the west of the village on the North side of Ascott Road. There is limited roadside parking beside the Church.

The Church has a ground floor ring with access to the tower from the outside on the West face. There is plenty of space to ring the 8 bells but little additional space for anyone not ringing. The room is not very light but is better if the door is open.

2010-07-10

I visited for the first time on Saturday 10th July 2010 for the weekly practice of the Four Shires Guild of Bell Ringers. I rang a couple of touches of Grandsire Triples, neither of which went very well though I did at least get to the end on the second attempt. I only rang on bell #4 which was fine to ring.

The Bells

The tower has a ring of 8 bells with a tenor weighing 12-3-23 in G. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Michael and more information is provided by the Coventry Diocesan Guild.
