Lower Quinton, St Swithin
The parish Church of St Swithin, Lower Quinton is in the east of the village on the south side of Main Road that runs roughly east-west through the village. I parked just opposite the church on Friday Street.
The church is set in a large well kept churchyard. The tower is at the west end of the and ringing is on the ground floor. There is a long draught with no rope guides and they are not an easy ring.

I visited for the first time on Saturday 8th January 2011 at the Four Shires Guild of Bell Ringers weekly practice. I rang a couple of touches of Stedman Doubles, unaffected, on bell #3, one went well the other a flaky after the single was called. I also rang a touch of Plain Bob Minor.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 6 bells with a tenor weighing 13-0-27 in F♯. Dove's Guide includes details of these bells. Although Lower Quinton is within Warwickshire, St Swithin Church is affiliated to Gloucester & Bristol Diocesan Association which provides more information about the tower.
