Chadshunt, All Saints

All Saints Church is no longer used and is maintained by The Churches Conservation Trust. The fabric of the Church is maintained and the bells can be rung in daylight, there is no electricity. There is an entrance to the churchyard from the Kineton to Gaydon road but parking would be tricky. We were asked to park on a track that runs parallel to the road between the Church and Chadshunt Manor. The Church is not easy to see as it is surrounded by large trees.

I visited for the first time on Saturday 20th September 2008 as part of the WDCRA Southern Branch 2008 tour. The churchyard was wild and could not have been tended very recently. Unfortunately I did not even get into the Church let alone ring a bell. Whoever had agreed to unlock the Church for us did not do so and we were unable to contact anyone to open up. I was led to believe that the bells are rung from the ground floor.

The tower has a ring of 6 bells with a tenor weighing approximately 11cwt in F. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at All Saints.

The Coventry Diocesan Guild of Church Bellringers also have information on the Chadshunt Parish Church of All Saints.
