Leintwardine, St Mary Magdalene
The Leintwardine Parish Church of St Mary Magdalene [listing] is located in the middle of this large village on the north side of Church Street a short distance east of the High Street (A4113). There is a few spaces to park beside the church on the very narrow Church Street.
The church is set in an attractive churchyard. The spacious ringing room is reached by climbing a spiral staircase to entrance to which is inside the tower.

I visited for the first time on Tuesday 10th April 2012 to join their weekly practice. I had spent the earlier part of the day walking 14miles of the Mortimer Trail and enjoyed the change of pace.
I started by ringing bell #7 for Plain Hunt on 7. I rang the tenor twice, once for Plain Bob Doubles and again for Grandsire Doubles. I returned to bell #7 for a touch of Grandsire Triples and ended ringing bell #5 for a touch of Plain Bob Doubles. A very pleasant evening ringing some nice bells.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 8 bells with a tenor weighing ~13½ in F#. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Mary Magdalene with more information provided by the Hereford Diocesan Guild of bellringers.
