Kingstone, St Michael & All Angels
The Kingstone Parish Church of St Michael & All Angels is located on the east of village a short distance north of the B4348 on Woodfield Close. I parked on Woodfield Close.
The church is set in an attractive churchyard with open country to the east. The ringing room is reached by climbing a short, but steep, wooden stair. There is a longish pull with no rope guides.

My first visit on Thursday 28th April 2011 for a practical session during the Hereford Ringing Course. This was the first session and I started by ringing up bell #6. As the first student to pick I chose to do a touch of Grandsire Triples which went ok. This was followed by Plain Hunt Triples and another touch of Grandsire with me covering. Next I rang a plain course of Stedman Triples on bell #3 which went ok and ended with a plain course of Little Bob Major.
All the bells I rang were fine though all the ropes were long and required a knot to shorten them. Probably the excellent dry weather over the last couple of months.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 8 bells with a tenor weighing 12-0-22 in G. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Michael & All Angels with more information provided by the Hereford Diocesan Guild of bellringers.
