Oakham, All Saints
The parish Church of All Saints is on the East side of Church St in the middle of Oakham, the county town of Rutland. There is a large green space bordering the churchyard to the North and there is a car park on the other side of Church St.
The ringing room is reached by climbing a stone spiral staircase. The entrance to the staircase is inside the tower. The room is painted white which helps to make it a light ringing room since there are no windows.

I visited for the first time on Saturday 3rd July 2010 as the third church of the Four Shires Guild of Bell Ringers tour. I rang up bell #6 followed by a touch of Grandsire Doubles with bells 4, 6 and 8 covering. Both of the bells that I rang went nicely.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 8 bells with a tenor weighing 24-2-9 in E♭. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at All Saints and more information is provided by the Peterborough Diocesan Guild of Church Bellringers.
