Xmas party at Wellesbourne, Saturday 14th December

The last Saturday evening practice before Christmas started with ringing at St Peter's, Wellesbourne, from 7.30 until 8.30pm. It was attended by approximately 24 people. The ringing was far better than the previous year, finishing with a plain course of Yorkshire Surprise Major.

St Peter's Church Centre was the venue for the Christmas social. As always we were met with a magnificent spread, the setting up of which was organised by Veronica Quinn and Linda Dane.

Having eaten, we settled down to some carol singing, with Eliza Lewis-Skeath organising the carols to be sung from members' requests, and accompaniment from Linda Dane on piano. There followed a raffle with numerous prizes. All the proceeds from the raffle will help to the swell the Guild's Bell Restoration Fund. ( £35.20 was raised. Ed)

The party finished at 10-30pm, when John Nicholls thanked everybody for attending. Special thanks were given to Linda Dane for playing the piano and Veronica Quinn for the organisation of the venue. It was again a very successful evening.
