CCCBR News

The new Triennium of the Central Council starts at the Council Meeting on May 26th (it is called a Triennium, because the Council representatives remain essentially unchanged for three years). The Meetings work their way around the UK; this year it's near Maidstone. The Guild's representatives to this Meeting are Chris Povey and Andrew Gunn. Chris has done a few years in this capacity (previously as a Worcs & Dists CRA rep), but this is Andrew's first since his election at the last AGM. This Meeting will be the last for Kate Flavell as President, as she will hand over the Badge of Office to Guild member Chris Mew at the end of the session.

CCCBR reps are expected to work for their position! The CC has a number of sub-committees, which undertake the 'day-to-day business' of the Council. Chris is currently a member of the Towers & Belfries Committee. Andrew is interested in serving on the Library Committee and/or the Tower Stewardship Committee. We wish him well in becoming a member of one of these committees.

Kate Flavell has become known to us through her monthly blogs
